Stäubli X-GL-438
The Stäubli X-GL-438 is an in-line Ø 4 mm plug for self-assembly of test leads. It is used when building a measuring lead with a secure and solid connection at one end. The plug has a spring-loaded MULTILAM contact, which provides good contact surface, and a pull-out shield/sleeve that helps protect against accidental contact.
In practice, it is a spare part and a component for test and measurement equipment where there are requirements for both electrical connection and personal safety. It is screwed onto the conductor, so it can be assembled without special tools, and its compact diameter makes it suitable for standard 4 mm test setups.
Its use with older measuring instruments has also been considered. According to the manufacturer's documentation, leads with this plug can be safely connected to instruments without safety sockets when used within the specified values.
