PDR IR-E1 – Compact IR Rework System for BGA and SMT
The PDR IR-E1 is a compact, manual rework system for professional rework of BGA, SMT, and other SMD components. It is the entry-level model in PDR's series and combines focused infrared heating with precise temperature control and automatic profiling – without unnecessary complexity.
Controlled IR Heating and Temperature Profiling
The focused IR heat delivers energy directly to the component, while a 2,800 W three-zone IR preheater ensures controlled heating of the PCB. The temperature of the component is monitored non-contact, while the PCB temperature is measured with a K-type thermocouple. PDR's ThermoActive software is used for control and automatic profiling of the process.
The IR-E1 handles PCBs up to 300 × 450 mm and components up to 55 × 55 mm. Components are removed and handled with a handheld vacuum tool.
