CT-E1-15/B is a 15-pin CombiTac contact carrier for sockets, where the contact area is designed for contacts with a diameter of 1 mm. In practice, it is the part that holds and positions the contacts in a modular CombiTac assembly, allowing the connection to be assembled in a controlled manner.
The contact carrier is made of PA and EPTR and has a front on the socket side with an IP2X degree of protection. This means that the front is protected against contact with solid objects in a manner suitable for the type of modular connections it is part of. The allowed temperature limit ranges from -40 °C to +90 °C, and for flow soldering, the specified maximum temperature is 260 °C for up to 3 seconds.
CT-E1-15/B is used where a compact insert is needed in a CombiTac system and multiple connections are to be assembled in one mechanical frame. It is a spare part and a building block in a larger connector, not a complete solution in itself.
