The SMOCK, STATSHIELD, JACKET, CUFFS, BLUE, SMALL (DESCO item no. 221420) is an ESD-controlled smock from DESCO designed to provide panel-to-panel conductivity through the garment panel and allow for hands-free grounding via a hip-to-cuff function.

Description

The SMOCK, STATSHIELD, JACKET, CUFFS, BLUE, SMALL is made of textured polyester with at least 9% carbon nylon monofilament, where the conductive fibers are woven in a chain-link pattern for consistent charge dissipation. The jacket comes with conductive knitted cuffs and a 4 mm stud snap at the hip for connecting a grounding cord. According to the manufacturer's technical bulletin (TB-7516), the smock meets the requirement for a groundable static control garment system with an Rtg below < 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
