KT 1880 B hipot safety analyser
The KT 1880 B is a 19" rack-mounted safety tester that combines several relevant electrical safety tests into one unit. It is used to verify that a product meets the requirements for high-voltage testing, grounding, insulation, leakage current, function, and continuity. In practice, this means that the item can be tested more efficiently because it does not have to be moved between several different measuring instruments.
The instrument features AC high-voltage testing from 100 to 5,500 V and DC high-voltage testing from 100 to 6,000 V. At the same time, the safety current is limited to 3 mA AC and 10 mA DC in accordance with EN 50191. This is an important detail because it makes the test more controlled in a professional production or test environment.
For insulation measurement, the KT 1880 B operates with DC from 100 to 6,000 V and a measurement range from 250 kΩ to 1 GΩ. The ground bond test runs with 10 to 30 A and measures from 0 to 400 mΩ. In addition, it can also be used for equivalent leakage current, continuity, and function tests, allowing several control steps to be consolidated in one place.
The built-in 4.3" TFT colour display makes operation clear, and with the available interfaces such as 2xUSB, RS-232, and Ethernet, it can be integrated into a test setup where data connection and integration are required.
A datasheet and a product video from the manufacturer are also available if you want to see more details or get a better impression of the design and use.
