Solder Bar SN100C® FB7 with hole – Approx. 3.3 kg

SN100C® FB7 from Balver Zinn is a lead-free solder alloy developed for professional wave and selective soldering processes where high process stability, low operating costs, and consistent solder quality are crucial. This variant is supplied as a solder bar with a hole (loop bar) and is suitable for both initial filling and continuous maintenance of modern lead-free soldering systems.

SN100C® is a eutectic tin-copper alloy stabilized with nickel and with added germanium to permanently reduce oxidation of the solder. This combination ensures a stable soldering process, reduced dross formation, and excellent solder joints with high reliability.

SN100C® – one of the world's most widely used lead-free solder alloys

SN100C® is used globally as a cost-effective alternative to silver-containing lead-free alloys. The alloy is particularly popular in electronics production, where companies demand high quality combined with low operating costs.

The nickel-stabilized structure ensures consistent solder joints, while germanium reduces oxidation and helps minimize dross formation in the solder bath.

Developed for wave and selective soldering

SN100C® FB7 is suitable for:

• Wave soldering
• Selective soldering
• Dip soldering
• Large-volume electronics production
• Industrial electronics
• Automotive electronics
• Production with high demands on quality and process control

The alloy functions effectively in both atmospheric air and nitrogen environments and supports stable production processes throughout the solder bath's lifetime.

Reduces oxidation and dross formation

One of the greatest advantages of SN100C® is the reduced oxidation of the solder metal. This contributes to:

• Lower dross formation
• Less material waste
• More stable soldering process
• Excellent and shiny solder joints
• High reproducibility in production

For companies with continuous operation, this can lead to both lower material consumption and more stable production results.

Solder bar with hole for easy handling

The FB7 version is supplied with a hole in the bar, making handling and dosing easier in many production environments. The practical design can contribute to more efficient handling when refilling solder baths and maintaining the process.

Advantages of SN100C® FB7
