SN100Ce® FB7 Solder Bar (Refill) with hole and slot – Approx. 4 kg
SN100Ce® FB7 from Balver Zinn is a lead-free refill alloy developed specifically for maintaining SN100C®-based solder baths. The alloy is designed to keep the solder bath's composition within recommended process limits throughout the production run, ensuring stable soldering properties over time.
This variant is supplied as a solder bar with a hole and slot (FB7) in approximately 4 kg bars and is suitable for professional wave and selective soldering systems that utilize SN100C® technology. Its special design simplifies handling and dosing in production environments with high material consumption.
Developed as a refill alloy for SN100C®
SN100Ce® is not intended for initial filling of solder baths. The alloy functions as a copper-reduced replenishment alloy, used for continuous refilling of SN100C® solder baths.
During production, the solder bath naturally absorbs copper from circuit boards, component leads, and other materials. SN100Ce® is developed to compensate for this copper input, thereby supporting a stable alloy composition throughout the entire process.
Stable soldering process and consistent quality
When used correctly, SN100Ce® contributes to:
• Stable copper content in the solder bath
• Consistent soldering properties
• Reduced risk of process variations
• High reproducibility in production
• Long-term process control
• Effective maintenance of SN100C® processes
This makes the product particularly interesting for companies with high demands for quality, traceability, and operational reliability.
Suitable for wave and selective soldering
SN100Ce® FB7 is typically used for:
• Refilling SN100C® solder baths
• Wave soldering
• Selective soldering
• Dip soldering
• Electronics production in larger series
• Industrial electronics
• Automotive electronics
• Production with high demands for process stability
The alloy performs effectively in both atmospheric air and nitrogen environments.
Reduced oxidation and low dross formation
SN100Ce® contains nickel and germanium, which contribute to stable soldering properties and reduced oxidation of the solder metal. This supports:
• Lower dross formation
• Excellent solder joints
• Improved through-hole filling
• Reduced risk of solder bridging
• More consistent product quality
The result is a stable and economical soldering process with high reproducibility.
