Solder Bar SN100CS+ Kilobar – Approx. 1 kg (Price per kg)
SN100CS+ from Balver Zinn is a further development of the world-renowned lead-free SN100C alloy, designed for professional wave and selective soldering processes where high process stability, minimal oxidation, and low operating costs are crucial. The alloy contains copper, nickel, and an increased content of germanium, which helps reduce oxidation and dross formation in the solder pot.
SN100CS+ is particularly suitable as a first-fill alloy in lead-free soldering systems and is widely used in electronics manufacturing, industrial electronics, automotive, and other applications with high demands on quality and operational reliability.
Further development of the well-known SN100C alloy
SN100CS+ builds on the proven SN100C technology but with an increased germanium content of 250 ppm (0.025%). This helps reduce oxidation of the solder and contributes to a more stable solder pot throughout the production process.
The result is lower material consumption, less dross, and more uniform solder quality compared to traditional lead-free alloys.
Optimized for wave and selective soldering
SN100CS+ is developed for industrial soldering processes and is particularly suitable for:
• Wave soldering
• Selective soldering
• Dip soldering
• Large-scale electronics production
• Automotive electronics
• Industrial electronics
• Production with high demands on process stability
The alloy delivers stable results in both atmospheric air and nitrogen environments.
Reduces dross and improves solder quality
The datasheet highlights SN100CS+ as particularly suitable for:
• Reducing dross formation
• Reducing solder bridges
• Improving through-hole filling
• Creating shiny solder joints
• Ensuring high process stability
These properties can contribute to both higher product quality and lower overall production costs.
