D 2012
The D 2012 from SPS-ELECTR is a test verification box, also known as a test dummy, for daily checking of measurement and test equipment. It is used as a controlled reference to check if a test system is reacting correctly during, among other things, high voltage tests, insulation measurements, ground bond tests, and leakage current measurements.
In practice, it is connected to the tester instead of the item that would normally be measured. This allows for a controlled “GOOD / FAIL” simulation to see if the test sequence is working as it should. It is a simple way to verify that the test equipment provides the correct answers in daily production.
The casing is made of PVC plastic, and connection is via a cold appliance socket according to IEC 60230 as well as test points. Like other test equipment, the unit must be calibrated at least once a year.
